Last Two Weeks of November 2007

Wow, I'm looking at the pictures Michael put up and they serve as a great reminder of the past two weeks. We took the three kids and my mom to the Wiggles concert even though Emme was starting to come down with a cold (How could we deprive her of her first concert? Bad parents.) As you can see in the photos Emme had a blast. Amelia enjoyed it too, but unlike Amelia's reserved nature (Amelia was this way even at her first wiggles concert around the same age as Emme), Emme was dancing, smiling, and carrying on. It was such a joy to see her!

Of course we paid the price. She had an eye infection the day of the Wiggles concert and a low grade fever, by the weekend her fever was up to 103/104. Monday was Tristan's well check (where he was diagnosed with a cold too) so I brought Emme along. Turns out she had either sinusitis or adenoiditis and is starting her 8th day of antibiotics tomorrow. The worst was over with Emme and then Amelia started with a fever a few days ago. She is better and was never as sick as Emme. The rest of the household (Umi, Opa, Michael, and me) also had different degrees of a cold.

Thanksgiving was nice. My sister (who moved back to Florida in September) and her boyfriend Todd as well Michael's biological Grandfather (his mom was adopted, but later found him) and his wife joined us for dinner. This was only our third time meeting him and the previous visits were before we had any children. They seem like very nice people and took to the children immediately. Unfortunately, this was the day that Amelia felt the worst so she spent most of Thanksgiving on the couch sleeping.

Oh yeah, I did get a new short haircut, but the photos don't do it justice since michael caught be with bed head. Better to see the girls in their piggy tails. They're just long enough now to get them in.

What great pictures! It looks (and sounds) like you had a great Thanksgiving.

Tristan is standing already! And he looks so much like Mimi! Emme always looks so big and healthy, but in the picture where she's with Mimi, she looks like a tiny peanut! Maybe Mimi is having a growth spurt?

    Such a beautiful family!
