August 26, 2007 - Tristan is 7 weeks old and doing great!

Hello Everyone,

Well this week is Emme's surgery so we are preparing for weeks of recovery. We hope the surgery and recovery go smoothly and that she's back to her normal self asap. We had our last get-together at our house yesterday (no visitors for several weeks because of Emme's recovery). We had a great time and the girls loved playing with their cousins and aunts and uncles.

Amelia is doing well and she is now sleeping in her own room. Her reward was a fish. She now has a guppy named Julia. Amelia watches over Julia all night long!!! :-) It's great. Amelia starts pre-k on September 4th, so she's very excited about that.

Emme is doing great. She's becoming more athletic daily. She is an amazing swimmer. She holds her breath and swims towards me underwater, although she doesn't quite make it to the surface on her own yet she has come so far over the summer. She is still slow to speak, but she's making progress trying to sound out words now too.

Tristan is doing fine. Nothing new expect for that he is getting big - fast. Oma (Bianca's Mom) now calls him Mr. Big. Bianca still calls him Mr. McGruntie! :-) We think he weighs around 11lbs. Oh, and he started giving us real smile this week. We were really excited.
